The MD & CEO of SBIGFL brings a wealth of experience, having held key positions in both domestic and international banking over his distinguished career. Before his current role, he served as the MD & CEO of SBICAP Trustee Company Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the State Bank of India (SBI).

His journey in banking began with Indian Bank and Bank of Baroda before he joined SBI, where he undertook various roles of increasing responsibility. Internationally, he excelled as the Senior Vice President (Credit & Operations) at the Regional Head Office in DIFC, Dubai, and as the Country Head & CEO of SBI’s Maldives Operations. Domestically, he served as the Regional Manager under the Administrative Office in Varanasi, handling sectors such as carpet exports, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and agricultural banking.

His career has been marked by significant contributions to business development, audit and compliance, human resource planning, training systems, and organizational strategy. An ardent proponent of digital transformation, he has successfully spearheaded numerous initiatives across various functions and geographies to improve customer experiences.

Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in History (Honors), a Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has also acquired an Executive MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, earned a certification in Digital Transformation from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and recently attained the highly regarded CFA designation.
